Thank you all for your prayers these past couple days. To bring you all up to speed, my Dad fell yesterday and hit his head in the basement. He was disoriented and decided to lay down for a nap. He is taking Plavix which is a blood clot inhibitor. Therefore, he lost a lot of blood. We called 911 and took him by ambulance to St. Anthony's Hospital. Air Evac flew him to Carle Hospital because of the head injury and loss of blood. Luckily, he only has a laceration on his head and a broken vertebrae. He was given lots of fluids and they were able to stabilize him. General Moore did a nice job of sewing him up from the inside out and they kept him overnight for observation. We brought him home today and he is still very tired and weak. We continue to thank God for sending me out to his house. Please continue to pray for him and remember that there is a higher power and that God has a plan for everyone of us.

Oh, my gosh. I am glad that he is doing well.
I hadn't heard. I'm so glad he is ok! He must have a good guardian angel - we'll keep him in our prayers!
We hadn't heard either. Good to hear that he is doing better and back at home. We will keep you all in our prayers!
What a crappy reason for a helicopter ride!
Glad things are better.
