The boys had over Gabe to swim last week. They had a blast! Looks like Gabe got a little sun, but I swear they used sunscreen. Holly is like the sunscreen nazi around here. I guess that comes with being a lifeguard and growing up at the pool. I wouldn't know as I lived in the country. We didn't have pools. We had ponds and big snapping turtles.

Evan & Ashley are on their way home!
You just never know what may happen while they are here. We have a jam packed week-end planned. We will be celebrating Father's Day with PaPaw David, ballgames, a party, Nick's race, and small four wheeler/jeep ride in their honor with the "canoe crew", and Jeremy Haycrafts jeep is getting a lift. Evan can't come home unless there is some "wrenching" to be done.......so stay tuned for the pictures and stories. I hope Ashley and Chad get into a scrap, they are always good for it and it is a good show.

Happy Fathers Day Chad!
Three of the most important and exciting days of our lives were the birth of our sons. Chad takes his role very seriously and is such a great dad. He is always thinking of ways to make the boy's lives better and always places them first in any decision he makes. His love for them is amazing, he is very patient and generous. We are really lucky to have him and appreciate everything he does for us everyday. We love you Daddy, you are the Best!

Future Lifeguard
Luke finally made it to the water. Last weekend was the first time that we let him swim with the boys. Up until now, he just got his feet wet (so to speak). Anyway, he had a blast! Hard to keep the big boys from capsizing his boat!

Vacation Bible School
Well, we wrapped up VBS at The First Baptist Church. This was the second year that Dawn White(see photo below)and I did crafts. We made birdhouses this year because our theme was "God's Big Back Yard." After the first day, we thought we may not be asked to do it again because we let the first and second graders paint WITHOUT paint shirts... what were we thinking? But on the second day, we were not greeted by angry parents and the rest of the week went smoothly. We had a great turnout and on one day it was rumored that we had 119 students and teachers... not too bad! Elly and Parker Eaton joined the Farley boys for the week and I think they all had a good time. The birdhouses actually turned out to be really cute. The kids got very creative, too. Some of them believed in the "less is more" theory. Others did not and put as much glitter, feathers, beads, etc. on their houses. I hope Jasper County doesn't find themselves with a dead bird epidemic.

Flash Flood!
Friday night instead of playing ball, we hunkered in the basement while severe storms hit the area bringing up to 7.5 inches of rain. Many local highways and roads were not passable that night and into the next day. Now, it is mostly the bottom ground that is flooded. I have never seen the river this high. The river is even across the Apple Shed Road. That is a first for me. Here are a few pictures.

Cole Farley
Well, Cole got his glasses yesterday. He has the same prescription as me. Dr. Wolf thinks it might be genetic. I think he looks super cool. Also, shown in the bottom photo is the birdhouse he made at Bible School this week. Obviously, he chose a patriotic theme.

Fore!
Or, I guess he should have yelled Two! Last week, Ross hit a line drive back to the pitcher (his coach, Zac Bierman) and hit him in the nuts! He thought that was so funny. Well, Ross thought it was funny. Zac had to take a walk. How does that happen in t-ball? Good question! Thanks for the pictues, Amber!

Susie Fitzmaurice & Fam
Two good reasons why we love Susie and her family as evidenced by the below photos.
A) She has a very keen sense of humor.
2) She has Guitar Hero.
Yes, that's right. Today, we saw never-before-seen footage of the Fitmaurice girls rocking it hard! I must admit that we tried it and we are addicted. (feeling your pain, Amber!) I wonder what Santa will bring the boys (and us) for Christmas this year?
